Recipients for 2010:
Jay Ayres, Director of the Group Purchasing Organization, the largest of its kind in Canada and the Coordinator for the International Outreach Program;
Audrey Bekendam, a member of the Housekeeping staff, known for her caring and compassionate personality;
Sister Bonaventure, an inspiration and a teacher for many of St. Joseph's Registered Nursing Assistant program at the Hospital;
Olga Consorti, CEO & President of the Foundation. Her passionate spirit and dedication has shone brightly through a career that has spanned two decades with St. Joseph's.
Dr. Austin Craven, performed the first surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brantford in 1955;
Cyril D. Henderson, a very active, community minded individual who sat on the Advisory Board for the Hospital;
Dr. Leo Martin, Radiologist, joined St. Joseph's in 1978. He lived the vision and the mission of the Sisters to the fullest.
This annual award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the healthcare ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph at
St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, Foundation and the former
St. Joseph’s Hospital, and is the highest award bestowed by our organization.
The contributions of these exceptional individuals will be honoured on a permanent recognition wall in the SC Johnson lobby of the Lifecare Centre.
