“At the
Lifecare Centre, our 24 hrs/day nursing care team includes Registered Nurses,
Registered Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides/Personal Support
Workers. Our staff is trained to provide daily care that recognizes each
individual’s abilities, needs and goals. Our professional staff works
closely with the resident’s physician and other health professionals so that
appropriate decisions are made in a timely fashion.
The
Lifecare Centre also has 2 secured units for residents with moderate to severe
dementia. The staff on the secured units is trained to assist with
residents who may have various behavioural challenges that require specific
interventions to manage.
The nursing
staff value and promote ongoing contact with family members or substitute
decision makers, as we believe a team approach provides the best outcomes for
residents entrusted in our care.
